FASHION INTERN PROGRAM

Here at DEVOI we believe in positive action measures to encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to pursue their dreams in the fashion industry.

For this reason, the DEVOI Fashion Intern Program ("FIP") has evolved with the aim to foster greater equality in our community by supporting those people who face, or have faced, disadvantage or discrimination or have been treated unfairly because of any number of factors, including their background, socio-economic status, a disability, age, ethnicity etc.

FIP encourages those from disadvantaged and under-represented groups to pursue a career in the fashion industry by providing insight into how an independent label runs as well as experience, skills and training in fashion. It is hoped that by doing the FIP participants have similar access to opportunities in the fashion industry as others and are able to compete on merit and on an equal footing when it comes to finding employment.

The successful candidate will be working along side the two founders of DEVOI, assisting them with development, production, photo shoots and events. They will gain experience in marketing, design and all aspects of the day-to-day workings of a fashion label. The internship is unpaid.

"Participating in DEVOI’s internship program was such a rewarding and enjoyable experience. I was exposed to various aspects of the business, which allowed me to gain a good understanding of what is involved in successfully running a fashion label. Working directly with the brand’s two founders was inspiring and fulfilling. They showed a genuine interest in my own growth and development, and always made the effort to ensure that I was getting the most out of my time with them. A positive and encouraging work environment where I always felt valued, I would definitely recommend this opportunity to anyone wanting to gain valuable experience within a fun and welcoming fashion label!" Leah, now a Buyers Administrator at a major jewellery label.
